They are so cute, I love squirrels! You have done very well to get those shots: they get scared and run away whenever I try to photograph them. Do you have any tips for photographing them?
The melanistic (black) squirrels are starting to become more common in the UK lately. Our native red squirrels are becoming very rare except in a few isolated locations. These are lovely shots.

Hi olga Wonderful pictures of squirrels!The ones I see seem to differ in colour ranging from rusty red to dark brown, but never black.Is it unusual where you are?

I'd never see black squirrels before I came to Canada. They unusual for Russia, but for Canada this species is very common. Thanks for your comments!
